The yard you stop working on.

Kingdom Turf Co. designs and installs artificial turf for homes and commercial properties, from Columbia to Augusta and the surrounding communities. Every installation starts with proper base prep and drainage.

What actually changes

Less upkeep. More yard.

Turf isn't a landscaping trend so much as a way to stop negotiating with your lawn every season. Here's what homeowners notice first.

No more mud through the house
A surface that drains instead of turning to soup after three days of rain.
Pet cleanup in seconds
Rinse, pick up, done — no brown patches, no digging back to bare dirt.
Weekends that aren't lawn weekends
No mowing, edging, seeding or watering schedule to keep up with.
A flat place to actually play
Level ground under swings, goals and bare feet, all year.
Deck space that stays clean
Pool surrounds and patios that don't get tracked through with grass clippings.
Color in January
The yard still looks finished in the months when the rest of the neighborhood goes brown.

The Kingdom standard

Turf is the easy part. What's under it decides everything.

Anyone can unroll turf. A surface that still drains, still sits flat and still looks finished years later is a construction job — and that's the part we take seriously.

Grade and base first
Existing surface out, grade shaped, aggregate base compacted to a depth set by how the space is used.
Water gets a plan
Drainage is designed before turf is ordered. Where water can't be solved by surface work, we say so.
Edges and seams by hand
Fixed against coping, pavers and beds. Seams cut and set so the surface reads as one piece.

What we install

Seven kinds of ground, one standard of finish.

Residential work is most of what we do, but the same crews build putting greens, pool surrounds, play areas and commercial courtyards.

The full process
  1. 01

    Conversation and site photos

You tell us the space, what you want from it, and send a few photos if you have them. We ask about drainage, slope and access early, because those shape the estimate more than anything else.

  2. 02

    Measured estimate

We measure the actual area on site and quote from that — not from a photo. Turf selection, base depth, edge conditions and access all get priced, so the number you approve is the number on the invoice.

  3. 03

    Preparation and base

Existing surface comes out, grade is shaped, and a compacted aggregate base goes in. This is the part nobody sees later and the only part that decides whether the surface drains and stays flat.

  4. 04

    Turf installation

Rolls are laid out for the best yield and direction, seams are cut and set by hand, and edges are fixed to the hardscape. Infill is brushed in, then the surface is groomed and cleaned.

  5. 05

    Walkthrough

We walk the finished space with you, show you what to watch for, and explain how to keep it looking right. If something isn't the way we discussed, we fix it before we call the job done.

Start here

Two minutes now beats a week of guessing.

Tell us the space, the size and what you want from it. You'll see the square footage we're working with and what to expect next. Photos are optional, and nothing is submitted until you choose to send it.

No obligation. We don't add you to a mailing list.

Straight answers

The questions we get first.

All FAQs
How long does an installation take?

Most residential projects run a few days on site once materials are delivered, but the honest answer is that it depends on square footage, how much excavation the site needs, and access for equipment and material. We give you a realistic window with the estimate instead of promising a number that changes halfway through.

Will turf fix a yard that holds water?

Sometimes, and sometimes not. Turf itself doesn't create drainage. What helps is shaping the grade, building a base that drains, and giving water a path off the property. If your yard has a real drainage problem, we'll tell you what it would take to solve it — and we won't promise that a surface change alone is the answer.

Does artificial turf get hot?

Yes. In direct summer sun, turf runs hotter than natural grass, and that's true of every product on the market. Turf color, infill choice and shade make a difference, and we'll talk through it for your specific yard before you decide. We won't tell you it stays cool in full sun.

Tell us about the space.

Send a few details and we'll come measure it. If you'd rather talk it through first, call and you'll reach a person who runs the jobs — not a call center.
